March: Spring Break was a bitch and a half. In retrospect the omen for BAD IDEA was written all over this terrible week! Sis comes up to visit, so naturally our friend Rie appears at the house. (she has been our friend for about 8 years...and has been known to visit for weeks at a time. She really is great though) So we went on a long awaited camping trip. It was nice, cool, overcast, spring-break-y weather. Then the cold wet wind came, then the night set in and brought cold pelting rain. We huddled in the camper. But it didn't last, the rain continued so much the the camper started to leak...a lot. Rie, sis, and I ended up sleeping rather uncomfortably (but at least dry) in the car. After a horrible three day huddling trip, we went home. I had decided to visit Marco before SB was over, so I came down on the Thursday of SB. I was 30 minuets from home...across the highway, down the bank, up the other side, across into on-coming traffic, and into the barrier. I broke my hip in 4 place...3 on the left 1 on the right.
And so I have been here (in the Valley) ever since. |

February: Took a fabulous trip to Monterrey with the Arch. Dept. There was a lot of social craziness and learning at the same time. The trip was hilarious and great. I had sooo much fun. Although getting there...totally different story. I told mom to mail my birth certificate...she waited...and waited...and waited...it didn't get there in time. I missed the bus! It got there the afternoon the bus left. So my dad being my dad came home early called my step mom home. She packed, he got directions and we were off to Monterrey. |

Wow...I haven't used lj in such a long time! Life for me is always interesting yet for some reason it never makes it on here.
January: The UTSA Architecture depart stopped screwing me over and gave me a design class D4 (design 4) in the spring of 07 (this semester). The catch you ask for bestowing such a favor on an undeserving student...i have not yet taken D3 and will be required to take it summer 1. The portfolio due in D4 will be postponed until the end of D3 and as for the fabulous competition that takes place in D4 (with real judges from the City Planning Commission and other wonderful places) I will be underprepared as I am competing with students who have an extra semester build with. |
